"Nappy Headed Ho".....
What a difference four years makes. Time....has a way of dealing with ...stuff.
That phrase, "Nappy headed Ho"....cost a man his job.
Now.....it's just a punch line in a popular NBC sitcom.
Courtesy....New York Daily News:

The phrase “nappy-headed ho” wasn’t a joke to radio host Don Imus, his critics or his supporters in 2007 when it got him fired from WFAN and MSNBC.
Last night on the NBC sitcom “30 Rock,” it became one.
Or at least the setup for one.
On the 100th“30 Rock” show, a double-length production even more packed than usual with inside jokes and internal references, one of the running gags was that comedian Tracy Morgan’s character, Tracy Jordan, was threatening to quit the show because he couldn’t get anyone upset at him.
That was part of a larger gag, also driven by Alec Baldwin’s Jack Donaghy character, that it’s impossible to be taken seriously when you’re a TV actor.
In any case, Morgan/Jordan lamented that one point that he had called someone a “nappy-headed ho,” but even that didn’t get people angry, “because apparently it’s okay” if he says it.
Imus triggered a firestorm in April 2007 when he offhandedly repeated the incidental description of the Rutgers women’s basketball team as “nappy-headed hos.”
He apologized, though it didn’t save his job, and since he returned to the radio in his present position as WABC morning host, he has pointedly steered away from that sort of reference.
